Helen began her career in the animal industry in 2006, gaining extensive experience in both small and large collections nationwide. Her zoo career was primarily centered on creating engaging displays, delivering public presentations, and training animals for demonstration and husbandry purposes. After earning a PGCE, she decided to merge her passions for education and animal welfare by transitioning into management at animal facilities in schools and colleges in 2018. In 2023, she became a founding council member of UKACT, an organisation dedicated to enhancing welfare standards through education and professional development.
